March Family Dinner

Hi Everybody!!

I'm so glad February is behind us and so far March has been so beautiful!
Our March family dinner is coming up this Sunday March 14th .
Dinner will be between 3-5 PM.
Kristen and Andrew have offered to do the main course this month,
and their choice is CHINESE! Let's all think asian as we select our sides.
Let me know what your preferences are and I'll post them!

Also, Grandmom Flannery will be joining us for dinner from Ingleside!

Where Are WE?

After the weather of the past week I have been wondering...

Just exactly WHERE ARE WE?

I'm tempted to think that sometime last Thursday,

Februrary 4th, 2010, we were somehow mysteriously

transported to the foothills of some mountain range in

ALASKA!!! How else would you explain 2 huge BLIZZARDS

in the space of 1 week! Just check out these pictures

and video clips!! In actuality we are in Landenberg, PA,

in the southeast corner of the state, and we're experiencing

the worst winter in recorded weather!!! That's over 130 years.

 Gabriel had his first play date the other day... Ruthie just wanted to grab him!  Gabriel doesn't seem too interested in girls yet... Mommy hopes it stays that way for a LONG time! ;-)

January Dinner

Hi Flannery Clan!
I sent out a text message today to ask about 2 dates for our January dinner,
this Sunday, the 24th or next Sunday the 31st. I heard back from Steve and Rebecca and Ryan and Jenna that the 31st would work best for them.
How about you Andrew and Kristen? That day will be fine for us.

1 Month Old!

It's hard to believe Gabriel is already 1 month old (5 1/2 weeks actually!)... God has blessed us so richly with our little guy, its amazing how much he's grown and changed already!

He flashed his first genuine smile at mommy on Friday evening... it just melted my heart.  We've seen many smiles while nursing and sleeping, but this one was the real deal :)  Daddy got to see it too!

At his 1 month check-up he weighed 9lb 8oz... 50% for height and weight and 70% for his head (ryan says he gets that from him :)). 

Gabriel loves to sleep!  He takes a good nap in the morning after his breakfast and a looong nap after lunch (which mommy really appreciates!).  We're not sleeping through the night yet, but I'm not complaining... I know he'll get there eventually :) 

Well... that's about it for the update.  No milestones for Ryan or Jenna ;-)

Blog Resuscitation

Hello again fam!

I'm just posting now to let you know that you all can become Blog Authors on here, so feel free to create your own posts and comment on each others.  I really want to open this up and let it be a place for events (family dinners, holidays, etc.) to allow for easy collaboration.  Of course, phone calls are always welcome!  We'll be back posting on here with updates about our family so please keep us in the loop with your own branches as well as I know we don't talk on the phone as much as maybe we'd like to.  I know we're all busy :O).

Well, I hope you choose to accept the invite and start blogging.  I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful family and I thank God for you all in my prayers!
